What Pipe Freezing Involves

Pipe freezing works by temporarily freezing the water inside a pipe, creating a solid ice plug that stops flow while work is carried out downstream. This allows valves, fittings, pumps, or sections of pipework to be repaired or replaced without draining the entire system.

We carefully assess pipe size, material, pressure, and system conditions before starting, ensuring the method is suitable and safe for the installation.

Once the work is complete, the freeze is released and the system is returned to normal operation.

When Pipe Freezing Is Used
