Our head office in Surrey is home to our sales, manufacturing, and service operations. With a fully equipped machine shop, well stocked stores, and a team of highly skilled engineers we deliver first class service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An in-house training centre ensures we keep both our own team and customers up to date with the latest technology in pumps.

We specialise in the supply, manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of booster sets, pressurisation units, HVAC and commercial pumps and all associated equipment. PumpServ also deal with sewage and waste water pumps, pumping stations, macerators, grease traps, stormwater attenuation and rainwater harvesting applications.

Mobile / Field Service Engineer

Requirements:

A multi skilled service engineer/technician or maintenance engineer/technician with experience of pumping systems and associated controls and systems.

You will be responsible for work on pumps and pump systems, water booster sets, pressurisation units, inverters, vacuum degassers, electric motors, fans, air handling units, plate heat exchangers, waste water pump stations and systems, inverters, control panels, pipe work and wiring.

Previous experience working with pump maintenance would be of particular interest. An analytical approach to fault finding is essential along with an ability to think outside the box.

You must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with our clients, our suppliers, and your colleagues.

Job Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for

  • PPM visits and associated remedial / repair works
  • Full mechanical and electrical installations (pipework/valves/pumps/controls)
  • Commissioning
  • Attending reactive/breakdown maintenance and repairs
  • Loading/unloading of plant and equipment at our head office and on site
  • Scheduled call out cover duties
  • Control of parts and spares in van.
  • Always adhere to both company and individual client site health and safety requirements
  • Attend engineers’ meetings from time to time

Area:

Candidate will ideally be located within 1 hour of our Morden Office. We use our inhouse engineering teams to service the South East of England. 80% of works will be within the M25 and home counties with occasional jobs further afield.Typical client base includes

Training:

Initial and ongoing training will be provided as required. PumpServ has an in-house training facility but also calls on manufacturers and third-party organisations to ensure all engineers are well qualified to undertake works.
